Dreams. We all have them. Maybe you dreamed you would be a baseball player or a cowboy or a singing star. Maybe you even dreamed you would be President of the United States! These last two weeks in Vancouver, British Columbia, we have seen dreams realized and dreams dashed. And we have seen athletes rise to the occasion and perform to a far higher level than anyone thought possible. In many ways, life itself is the stuff of dreams.

Well, God has a dream for you! Paul indicates that when we come to Christ, God has a plan, a purpose, for us. We are not saved to merely wait around until the Lord calls us home. He has wonderful plans for us. God tells us through Jeremiah, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) Our service to God serves as a dream in His mind, and when we realize the dream, we glorify the awesome God Who made us and redeemed us.

Catch the dream! Live the dream!
